Place de la Bourse
Place de la Bourse is a good example of what the architecture was like in 18th century Bordeaux. This is a line of impressive archways with slate roofs, and in the centre of them is a large fountain, which is illuminated in the evenings. From this square, an excellent view of Garonne's river bank is provided.

Cimetière de la Chartreuse
Cimetière de la Chartreuse is the Bordeaux version of Paris' Pere Lachaise Cemetary. Here, there are numerous monuments that are excellent examples of 19th century sculpture. It is in this peaceful atmosphere that the final resting places of Lacour, Goya, Flora Tristan, and the grandmother of Gauguin.
