    Saint-Michel Bascilica (Basilique St-Michel)
    Construction on this church was begun in 1350 and took over 200 years to complete. Saint-Michel is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a religious centre on the famous pilgrimage route of Christian faithfuls to Spain during the Middle Ages.

    Saint-Seurin Basilica (Basilique Saint-Seurin)
    The large Saint-Seurin Basilica is very much a Romanesque creation with some Gothic elements. Its history dates back to the 5th century, and today it is proclaimed as a UNESCO World Heritage monument. French pilgrims stopped here to pray on route to Santiago de Compostela in the Middle Ages.

    Saint Andre Cathedral (Cathedrale St-Andre)
    This 13th century cathedral is one of the most impressive religious buildings in Bordeaux. Of particular beauty are the sculptures on its doors, as well as its distinct twin steeples. The Saint Andre Cathedral is one of three UNESCO World Heritage sites in Bordeaux connected with the Pilgrimage Route of Santiago de Compostela, which did much to develop Christian religion and culture in France in the Middle Ages.
