La Grande Conche Beach
This fine sand beach stretches a glorious 2 km in length. Stripped tents line the sands, a tradition begun in the early 1800s when visitors took up the practice of seawater therapies and changed in the tents. Today it is a practical feature for families, and adds to the charm of the spot. Strollers and bikers who make their way down the path adjacent to La Grande Conche are treated to the view several 19th century mansions and villas.
