Musée St-Croix Musée St-Croix was constructed on the site of the old abbey of St-Croix. Among the exhibits here is fine arts section devoted almost entirely to painting. The bulk of the artwork in this section focuses on 16th and 17th century Flemish art, as well as 16th to 18th century Dutch art. Works by Oudot, Bonnard, Sisley, and others are displayed. A bronze sculpture by Maillol entitled The Three Graces is also kept here. There is also an archealogical section here that is kept separate from the fine arts section. Here, the history of Poitou is documented. It begins in pre-historic times, continuing on to the Gallo-Roman era, the Renaissance, and up to the end of the 19th century.
