Église Notre-Dame-la-Grande

Église Notre-Dame-la-Grande was built in the late 11th century, and is desgined in a Romanesque-Byzantine style. The facade is carved similar to an ivory casket, and is surrounded by an open-air market. The carvings on the doorway depict biblical scenes. Admission is free.

Cathédrale St-Pierre

Cathédrale St-Pierre was built in 1162 on the ruins of a Roman Basilica by Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine. The interior of the cathedral is 295 feet (89 metres) long, and contains stained glass from the 12th and 13th centuries.

Baptistère St-Jean

Baptistère St-Jean is the most ancient Christian monument in France. Construction began on Roman foundations during the 4th century, with it continuing well into the 7th century. Inside, there are 11th to 14th century frescoes, as well as a collection of funerary sculpture. The Baptistère is located within walking distance of Cathédrale St-Pierre.
